Lucy has provided evidence that has informed Xploro’s interactive and engaging educational content, which is delivered through gamification and personalised experiences.

The Progress Group

The Progress Group joined our Rapid Innovation Sprint programme. The programme, delivered by our Productivity and Innovation Centre, offers intensive fully-funded support that helps to address SME’s growth and scale-up challenges and opportunities, and helps to develop financially feasible solutions.

Pilkington Botanical Glass (NSG Group)

Our plant science expert, Dr Sven Batke, has been working with Pilkington UK (NSG Group) to test the impact of their newly developed botanical glass on crop performance. The specialist glass is intended for use in applications such as commercial greenhouses, used to grow fresh fruit and vegetables year-round for the UK food supply chain, including large supermarket chains.

Everton in the Community

We’ve been working with Everton in the Community, Everton Football Club’s official charity, since 2013. It is a multi-award winning and sector-leading partnership which supports local communities through life course provision in sport, health (especially mental health), education and wellbeing. Two examples of our programmes: Tackling the Blues and The People’s Place.

Arts for the Blues

Working in collaboration with the University of Salford, we’ve developed an approach that helps to address the mental health crisis, offering an alternative to talking therapies. We developed Arts for the Blues, an evidence-based model that offers an alternative to talking therapies. The model consists of a twelve-session creative group intervention.

Oxford University Press

We helped Oxford University Press to develop guidelines on race and ethnicity representation for their global content providers in English language teaching. The Black Lives Matter protest movement in 2020 led many organisations and businesses to re-think how they engage with questions of ethnicity, in terms of language, concepts and representation.

Skills Bootcamp: BFI Film Academy Course

We teamed up with FACT in Liverpool, the UK’s leading organisation for the support and exhibition of art, film and new media, to develop a British Film Institute Film Academy course. Keen to make filmmaking accessible to anyone with talent, we created a pathway into the industry for aspiring filmmakers, regardless of their background.

Facilities hire for filming

Our Clinical Skills and Simulation Centre was hired by a well-known TV company to provide a backdrop for filming. Within the University, we have a whole building dedicated to recreating the healthcare environment. We have an operating theatre, several mock wards, consultation rooms and clinical skills labs, all set up like a real clinical environment.
