The Centre for Mental Health, Sport and Physical Activity Research (CMSPR) leads high‑quality research that shapes policy and supports effective practice. Our work spans programme design, evaluation and knowledge exchange, creating evidence that drives meaningful change in sport, physical activity and mental health.
The Centre’s aims
The CMSPR is committed to improving mental health through systems-led change by bringing together like-minded individuals and organisations with an interest in sport, physical activity and related sectors. These sectors include education, public health, medicine, the creative industries, business and information technology, and wellbeing. Our team of internationally known researchers are available to support you to improve mental health through community sport, physical activity, and movement, and in professional sport settings.
