SPSS
/service/spss/
SPSS is a statistical software package used globally to analyse numerical data. Data is entered into spreadsheets (similar to Excel) and then analysed by selecting the appropriate statistical technique from the drop-down menu within the program. Each year the library purchases licensed copies of SPSS so that all students and staff can access this software freely – just click on the download link to the right and follow the instructions provided. The licence code for this software is included in the instructions, but note that this licence code needs to be updated around January each year in order to keep using SPSS. When your licence runs out, just to return to this page for the new licence code to renew your licence of SPSS. The library provides excellent resources on how to use SPSS, which caters for first time users, as well covering more advanced functions of SPSS. Please check out the library catalogue for more information.
