If you’re still looking for the right university or rethinking your choices, with UCAS Extra, you can apply for an additional choice and find the right path for you.

Choose your future, your way

What is UCAS Extra?

  • UCAS Extra is another opportunity for you to gain a place at university or college, between 26 February and 1 July 2026, at no extra cost.
  • If you’ve used all five of your choices on your original application and you’re not holding an offer, you’ll be able to add another choice using UCAS Extra.

Who can use UCAS Extra?

You can apply for an extra choice through UCAS Extra if:

Choices used
You've used all five choices in your original application.
Received decisions
You've received decisions from all five choices.
No offers
You didn't receive or have declined all offers.

Applying through UCAS Extra

If you’re eligible, you can add an Extra choice via the UCAS website.

  1. Go to ‘Your choices’ and select ‘Add an extra choice’.
  2. Enter the details of your chosen university and course.
  3. Your application will then be sent directly to the university.

Before making any changes to your UCAS choices, please contact our Admissions Team to confirm your eligibility. Share your academic background and the course you’re interested in, and we’ll advise you.

If you’re currently holding an offer elsewhere, you’ll need to decline it before applying to Edge Hill via UCAS Extra on UCAS Hub.
